Vector artwork is a completely different type of image. Unlike, bitmap images (for example the photos you take with your digital camera) which have millions of pixels, vector uses lines and nodes to display the image. Vector artwork is independent of resolution and can be scaled to any size.
Vector vs Bitmap
Vector artwork is needed to create your custom decal. When a bitmap or raster image is supplied to us to use. We must convert it to vector artwork before your order can be produced. Often times we will have to redraw or recreate the design into vector format.
Resolution
The quality of the bitmap/raster image. DPI or PPI. Dots per inch or pixels per inch. Resolution is measured by how many pixels are contained within one square inch. The more pixels the higher the quality of the design or image. That equals a higher resolution design.
If you do not have a vector design file, please send us the highest resolution bitmap design possible. The higher the resolution the better.
